Just a Quickie

October 27, 2006 By: Leslie Category: Life, Linky Goodness

I’ve been neglecting my blog lately. I’ve been so busy, which is good. In addition to clients, I’ve been blogging for a few blogs – this one, my writing advice blog, and two paid blogs I’ve been contracted to do here and here. It’s a lot of fun, really, to share my knowledge of books and writing with people. I also started a writing forum, which you can find in the sidebar of my writing advice blog, The Writer’s Well. It’s pretty new, so not many people yet, but I hope to make it a thriving writing community.

Not only have I been blogging like mad and writing for hours a day for clients, I’ve been trying to quit smoking. And here’s a tip folks: if you read this, and you know me in person, nagging me if I cheat only makes me smoke more. I have a contrary personality. I do not like unsolicited advice (“assvice”). I’m working on it, I’ll do it at my own pace, and I’m not sweating the occasioanl cheater much – just like dieting, beating yourself up over slips won’t help you reach your goal.

Speaking of dieting, I’m doing that too. I know, poor honey. He is a brave soul, coming into the war zone every night after work. I’m getting better a few days into it, but the first day? I was Not Nice. So he gets kudos for being supportive and loving me in spite of my grumpyness this week.

That’s about it, just a quick “where have I been this week” post. Enjoy the linky goodness!
